Dr. Azhar Salleh, Psychiatrist

Dr. Azhar Bin Salleh is a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than two decades of clinical experience in both public and private healthcare settings. Known for his holistic approach, Dr. Azhar integrates evidence-based treatment with personalised care, emphasising long-term recovery, resilience building, and patient empowerment.

Education Dr. Azhar holds an MBBCh, BAO, LRCPSI (Ireland) medical degree and completed his specialist training with a Master of Medicine in Psychiatry, M.Med (Psy) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He further expanded his clinical expertise working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Australia for 4 years and strengthened his focus on addiction medicine with a Graduate Diploma in Drug and Alcohol Studies.

International Exposure He has served in academic and training capacities in Australia and Malaysia, including teaching roles with the University of Queensland and as an Associate Professor and Lead in Psychiatry at the Perdana University–Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (PU–RCSI) School of Medicine.
